the benefits of mental skills training

Athletes of all ages and levels can benefit from mental skills training. When working with Sara one-on-one, an athlete gets individualized attention on the mental skills areas he or she needs to work on.

In the first session, Sara will learn more about the athletes and help to identify the mental skills areas of strength, as well as those that need to be developed.

During ongoing work together, athletes may work on:

  • Building confidence
  • Managing nerves
  • Setting and working toward goals
  • Communication strategies
  • Learning how to come back from mistakes
  • Getting through mental blocks or slumps
